Here is the latest project that I just finished up on. Really having a great time doing this project. Art direction from client. All characters are created in Maya and ZBrush.
So here is my latest personal work. I was having this idea of creating a high poly character where the style is a combination of Hong Kong comic style and Western comic style. I try to visualize it through the eyebrows, facial structure and facial scar and give it a realistic skin shading looks. Base mesh was built up in maya, details sculpted in zbrush. I use mayaHair for the hair and mayaFur for the eyebrows and whiskers. The skin is using mentalRay fast skin shader. All texture was hand painted done in Zbrush and PhotoShop.
Low poly work that I did recently. 3240 tris with 1024 texture maps (color, specular and normal). Modeled in Maya and textured with ZBrush and PhotoShop.
Trying to model a character that can be use for PS3 / Xbox 360 generation console. Base mesh was created in Maya and then sculpt the detail in ZBrush. All textures started with polypaint and then edited in PhotoShop.
Have been working on this guy recently. Improvised the left arm and the boots from the early concept design and I'm quite happy with the new version. Now need to work on the engravings on the armor and after that retopologize.
Inspired by Usagi Yojimbo here comes the warrior rabbit. Base mesh from Maya and sculpted in ZBrush. The final version below is a low poly model with normal map and diffuse map applied and render with mentalRay.
